Technological improvements have led to towers being built to incomprehensible heights. Construction is fast as individual pod-homes are replaced as easily as a battery. Each pod has all its necessities delivered to it through its doorstep through vacuum tubes. The wealthy live above the smog level, with the poorer serving the tubes below.
